Warren Elsmore (BE Systems)

Warren Elsmore is a senior architecture consultant with BE Systems Ltd.

He is an IBM Certified Advanced Systems Administrator (PCLP) and an IBM Certified Associate System Administrator – Lotus Collaborative Solutions (Quickplace & Sametime).

He has worked in the Lotus arena for 10 years and has worked at a high level on technical architecture, consultancy and technical advice to a range of large and small customers. This has been on a variety of projects from mobility solutions to web-enabled portals and from upgrades for 5000+ seat sites to database solutions to manage specific business procedures.

He has numerous industry contacts both in the UK and internationally and has spoken at many Lotus events including Lotusphere, the UK Admin Conference and both the Irish and UK User Groups. He also helps to run the UK Lotus User Group

Valerie Wang

Valerie Wang (Blackberry)

Valerie Wang is the Enterprise Product Manager for IBM Technologies at Research In Motion. She works with customers, partners (particularly IBM!), and RIM's developers to ensure IBM products are mobilized via BlackBerry in a way that meets the business needs of customers, and helps them collaborate wherever they are. She has worked at RIM for almost seven years, in previous roles as a Wireless Solutions Architect and Technical Account Manager, helping RIM's largest customers stabilize, grow, and extend their BlackBerry deployments. Before joining RIM, she was a Domino consultant, architect, and administrator.

Paul Mooney

Paul Mooney (Bluewave Technology)

Paul Mooney is senior architect for Blue Wave Technology based in Ireland. He has been involved in IBM technologies for 11 years and hold certifications in Notes R3-ND7, not to mention Websphere, Portal Server and DB2. Paul is regarded as a world-class Administration Consultant and trouble-shooter, as well as a certified instructor. Paul has spoken at Lotusphere, DNUG, and many other events over the past two years. In addition, he contributes technical articles for LotusUserGroup.org and is the founder member of the very successful Irish Lotus User Group. Paul?s blog (www.pmooney.net) provides Domino and Websphere administration tips, as well as reviews of various technologies, mobile devices and gadgets.

Lyn Rees

Lyn Rees (Cardiff University)

Lyn joined Cardiff University’s Mail Team three years ago having previously worked for the Security Team. It didn’t take long before he found himself looking down the barrel of a rip-and-replace for both the Staff and Student email systems – around 8 thousand staff accounts to migrate from Groupwise, and 25 thousand students to migrate from Mercury/Pegasus. The new system of choice is, of course, Lotus Domino/Notes.
Lyn will be relating this migration in a case study for UKLUG 2008

Matthew Brockway

Matt had previously worked with Cardiff Universtiy in application support and deployment, specialising in Assistive software. It didn’t take long before he found himself looking down the barrel of a rip-and-replace for both the Staff and Student email systems – around 8 thousand staff accounts to migrate from Groupwise, and 25 thousand students to migrate from Mercury/Pegasus. The new system of choice is, of course, Lotus Domino/Notes. Matt now looks much older than he should.

Carl Tyler

Carl Tyler is founder and president of Epilio, a new startup focused on Real-Time Enterprise Collaboration. Formerly Tyler was cofounder of the award winning Instant Technologies. Prior to Instant Technologies Tyler spent 12 1/2 years at IBM/Lotus in various positions working with collaboration and desktop productivity solutions. Mark Myers

A 3rd Line Support Geek poorly disguised as a Notes Developer, Mark ran into Lotus notes 11 years ago, and much to his disgust has been making his living from it ever since, normally to be found in his preferred habitat of large corporations (GE, British American Tobacco, Bank of New York, Allianz) endeavoring to deliver the fabulous to the unreasonable with the time scales of the insane, In his effort to understand all of Lotus Notes he now has graying hair, a stutter and a habit of drinking anything that is colored in an unnatural way.

Ed Brill is Business Unit Executive, Worldwide Lotus Notes/Domino Sales, IBM Software Group.  In this position, Brill and his team are responsible for the continued worldwide success of Lotus Notes and Domino, market-leading collaborative software products.  Brill works with the IBM sales organization, IBM business partners, and customers to provide insight into the Lotus strategy, product direction, and market successes.  Brill leverages this in-market experience to provide counsel and direction to the Notes/Domino product and marketing organizations, ensuring constant improvement and responsiveness. During Brill's time in this role, the Lotus Notes/Domino business posted revenue growth for twelve consecutive quarters, and gained hundreds of new customers.

Yaacov Cohen

Yaacov Cohen is the President and CEO of Mainsoft, a position he has held since 1999. Together with the management team, Mr. Cohen is responsible developing and delivering SharePoint integration software and solutions for multiple IBM platforms, including Lotus Notes, WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Application Server, Lotus Expeditor and Rational Jazz. He has a B.S. degree in computer engineering from the Technion Israeli Institute of Technology.

Jamie Magee

Jamie is a consultant, developer, and speaker who has been designing Notes and web apps for 14 years.  His first Notes app was so slow that he spent the next 12 years learning how to make slow stuff run faster.  He went from a huge consulting firm, to a small one, to starting his own ten years ago.  He's the creator of the NoteMan Toolbar, WirelessMail for Domino, and one of the guys who runs MartinScott Consulting.  On the side, Jamie coaches kids sports and is a captain of a national championship adult kickball team.

Neil Burston

Neil is a Redbook Author and long-time advocate of good technologies for organizational benefit, in particular those from Lotus. He has been using and implementing Lotus Notes from version 3.0 onwards, deployed the first commercially available versions of Sametime, Quickr (n QuickPlace) and beyond to WebSphere Portal and other newer offerings from IBM and other vendors.

Kathleen is the owner of Sakura Consulting, a software services consultancy based in New York City. She has over 12 years of experience with Lotus messaging and collaboration products. Her areas of expertise include Lotus Notes and Domino architecture and development, Sametime deployment, and Domino and Portal integration, with a strong focus on Domino clustering, AdminP, and other advanced Domino administration topics. She also has extensive experience with Sametime administration, Quickplace and Quickr, WebSphere Portal Server, and Lotus Connections. She is a Principal CLP in both System Administration and Application Development. Rob Novak

Rob is President of SNAPPS, whose claim to fame over the past ten years changes every time he sits down to think about it. The firm serves large global enterprises, helping out with their high-end Domino, Sametime and Quick-whatever deployments. That's business-speak for "they're not cheap". For a couple years now, the company has been the IBM Design Partner for QuickPlace and Quickr 8.0, and was engaged by IBM to develop all the templates that shipped with Quickr 8.0 in June 2007. As if being knee-deep in customers wasn't enough, Rob produces Collaboration University -- a proud sponsor of ILUG this year. So seriously, he's not very talented at all when it comes to code. He tries to make up for it with an uncanny ability to explain it on stage in real people terms...so give him a break and have a laugh. When he's not delivering speeches, he likes to travel with his lovely wife, enough anyway to come to your beautiful country for nine days so as to work for an hour and write it off! Oh and the picture...imagine a beard, really.

During that time, he has served Symantec customers as a Systems Engineer and Sr. Product Manager in the areas of e-mail and content security. Ron now manages Enterprise Vault and Mail Security for Lotus Domino within the Information Risk Management group.

Gabriella Davis

Eight years later and he's still learning Notes along with Sametime, Connections and Quickr to provide collaborative solutions. You'll learn how Trailfinders, Europe's largest independent travel agency, uses Lotus technology to support their intranet, website, collaboration strategy and knowledge sharing efforts. You'll either be able to take away some good ideas or tell Phil where he's been going wrong all this time. Phil is an IBM Certified Application Developer (ND7) and part-time (i.e. reluctant) administrator, who thrives on providing innovative solutions.

He has more than 15 years of experience in the eCollaboration market and, since 1999, is working as a freelance project manager, solutions architect and consultant in national and international projects. In the recent past he was active as a project manager and lead in requirements analysis with a large telecommunications provider on their corporate B2B portal project, targeting more than 200.000 users.
